What Is The P.A.C.?

The Parent Action Committee (PAC) is a group of volunteer parents who work together to support the school community. Here are some key aspects of The PAC

1. Fundraising:

2. Community Building:
The PAC helps foster a sense of community by organizing social events, such as family dinners and family dances. These activities bring families together and strengthen the school community.

3. Volunteer Coordination:
The PAC recruits and organizes parent volunteers for various school activities and events, ensuring that there is ample support for school programs and events.

Frassati Family Newsletter 3-6-26
You Are Invited
To the Frassati Catholic Academy Festival of Lessons and Carols 2025

When:  Monday, Dec. 15th, 6:30-7:30 pm (Please note that all students must be dropped off at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish at 5:30 pm for rehearsal.  Doors to the sanctuary for parents to get seats will open at 6:10 pm.)

Where:  Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, 11385 Grant Drive, Northglenn, CO 80233

What:  Festival of Lessons and Carols Christmas Concert – This is a beautiful concert featuring Scripture and sacred music that honors the story of the birth of our Savior.  All grade levels, PK3-8th grade, will participate.  It is very important that all students attend the concert!

What should the students wear?  Students should wear their Christmas best, like they would wear to Christmas Mass.  Boys should be in button-down shirts, dress pants, and nice shoes.  Jackets and ties are optional, but highly encouraged.  Girls should be in nice dresses, blouses, skirts, or dress pants with flat nice shoes.  Dresses or skirts must be fingertip length or longer. Girls must have their shoulders covered.  Please, NO jeans, gym shoes, shirts or sweaters with words or characters on them, secular Christmas items such as Santa hats, reindeer antlers, elf hats, etc.  Since our concert is in a sacred space, we must dress in an appropriate manner to honor the space and the event.  Students who do not follow dress guidelines might not be able to participate in the concert. Please do not have the students wear perfume or cologne, as it can cause allergic reactions in others.

What should parents wear?  We encourage you to dress in your Christmas best also!  This is a wonderful way to set a great example for your children!

Important Details:
  1. It is important that students arrive at 5:30 pm so that we can do one rehearsal in the sanctuary.  Please be on time.
  2. Please feed your child dinner BEFORE you come for the concert, since they will be there from 5:30-7:30 pm.
  3. We realize it is hard to drop off your child at 5:30, but the doors do not open for you to be seated until 6:10 pm.  However, with using an outside venue and having an evening concert, there is no way to avoid this.  There is a gathering area outside the sanctuary at the church, but it will fill quickly.  Maybe you can have a mini date and grab a cup of coffee after you drop off your child!  Just arrive back at IHM by 6:10 when doors will open for seating.
  4. Please keep your child’s coat and any other items he/she may bring WITH YOU in the pew during the concert.  This will help ensure items don’t get lost in the waiting rooms for the kids.
  5. Please plan to come and stay for the entire concert!  It is so disheartening to have people leave after their child’s songs.  And, we will have a finale at the end!
  6. After the preschool songs at the beginning, preschool students will be released to sit with their parents in the pews so they can watch the rest of the concert with their parents.  This will help keep them from getting restless back in holding rooms while the rest of the classes sing.
  7. We anticipate the church to be very full for this event!  We will set up as much seating as we can, but we are not sure if it will be enough for everyone.  This is the beauty and the challenge of having a large community!

We look forward to sharing this beautiful event with you as we prepare for the coming of our Savior!

Sincerely,

Nicholas Newman, Music Teacher

Subject: What an amazing evening!

Dear Frassati Community,

Last night was incredible!  We had a truly beautiful mass with Archbishop Aquila to honor the canonization of St. Pier Giorgio Frassati and to officially recognize our chapel as the St. Pier Giorgio Frassati Chapel.  Since our chapel has already been in use, there is no official blessing that is done to decree it, but we will receive an official paper decree with the name of the chapel soon, and we hope to get some sort of a sign in place with the name and date of decree.

We wanted to share a link to the article from the Denver Catholic with you to enjoy.  Here it is:  PHOTOS: Oratory of St. Frassati Dedicated in Special Ceremony at Frassati Catholic Academy

We also wanted to share a few photos of our own.  You will see the joy on the face of Archbishop Aquila and our community!  Thank you for making last night so special, and thank you for your continued support!

Blessings,

Presidents Message:

Dear Frassati Community,

September blessings to you! In this beautiful month we are especially thankful for our Blessed Mother, and for the canonization of two amazing men – Bl. Carlo Acutis and Bl. Pier Giorgio Frassati!  What a gift!

You may have noticed that Mrs. Bailes is sending out the weekly community newsletter.  This newsletter will contain much of the event news and happenings around the school, so it will be your go-to source for those items.

However, we recognized a need to keep our community better informed on the state of the school on a more regular basis.  Therefore, I will be sending out a monthly newsletter to the community that will give you a brief look at the finances, enrollment, fundraising, donations, grants, and facility.  You will find the September newsletter attached.

You will also find attached the donation levels program for Frassati.  As we mentioned at back-to-school night, we are asking all families to prayerfully consider how you currently give your time, talent, and treasure to our school, and how you might be able to increase your offerings in these areas this year.  We are a vibrant and growing school, but we are also a relatively new school.  This is exciting, but it also poses some challenges to us.  If we come together as a community, we can begin to address these challenges to overcome them, so that we can be in a healthy financial position which will allow us to begin to allocate our funds to other areas of growth for the school.  Bringing the school into a stronger financial position will benefit all of us.  The tuition you graciously pay covers the salaries and benefits of the faculty and staff, and for this we are incredibly grateful!  But that means that all of the other costs – utilities, curriculum items, facility needs, etc. – have to be covered through fundraising, donations, and sometimes grants.  If each of us can prayerfully consider how we can give towards the financial needs of the school, we can work on paying the bonds and reach the point where we are self-sufficient without the need for help from the Archdiocese of Denver.  Please take a minute to review the attached sheet to see our leveled giving options.  We will be tracking donations this year to honor your family’s level of giving.

I am always willing to sit down to discuss the state of the school, or to discuss giving options with families.  You can schedule a time to meet with me by emailing me at eileen.michalczyk@gofrassati.org.  Frassati is an amazing and wonderful place, and we look forward to making it even stronger moving forward.  Like our theme for the year says, “Be who God made you to be, and you will set the world on fire!”  By coming together as a community with our time, talent, and treasure, we will grow in our ability to live out our mission, and we will set the world on fire for our kids!

Blessings,

Eileen Michalczyk, President
